Become comfortable handling and shooting a handgun
WHAT IS THE LADIES CLASS?
Safely handling and shooting a handgun is an empowering experience! Ladies will walk away from this course with the ability to confidently handle a handgun. This course introduces women to shooting handguns and is designed specifically for women that have little or no practical shooting experience. The curriculum includes classroom instruction in the rules of firearm safety, safe gun handling, fundamentals of shooting, and a live fire practical session. The live fire will also include the ability to fire 6 different handguns that are ideal for ladies. These include; Glock 48 9mm, Sig Sauer P238 .380acp, Springfield Hellcat 9mm, Sig Sauer P365XL 9mm, S&W Shield 9mm, Glock 44 in 22LR.

Rebecca has been a firearms instructor since leaving the Army in 2005. She was a Registered Dietitian in the Army, but found a need for qualified female firearm's instructors. She enjoys teaching the Ladies Learn To Shoot Class because of the satisfaction that comes from teaching new shooters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my own gun?
During the class you will shoot a variety of our handguns. After the class is over, you will have the opportunity to work with an instructor to familiarize and shoot your own handgun.
Can my Husband sit in on the class?
We believe it's going to be a better learning environment without someone looking over your shoulder. Think of this as your day on the range to relax and learn, he can come to the range another day!
Do I need any experience with handguns?
Nope! If you don't have any experience than this class was designed for you.
What do I need to bring to the class?
Everything is provided for you at the class. You can bring your own hearing and eye protection if you would like.
Can my daughter attend the class?
Yes, as long as they are 16 and mom is attending the same class with them. If younger than we would recommend signing up for a 1:1 private class.
Where is the class held?
Class is at our range facility, LoneStar Handgun Shooting Range, near the intersection of I-10 & 1604 in San Antonio.
I took the Ladies learn to shoot class.
I never shot a gun before & was very afraid of them that even if one was not loaded & it was in the same room as me, I would be absolutely terrified.
To face my fears, I took this class in hopes that I could get over my fear & learn more about how to handle one.
I'm so glad I took this class because this helped me gain confidence and educated me about guns overall!
I will definitely be coming back for another class or just to come shoot.

LoneStar is my favorite outdoor range so far. The biggest appeal for me is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The range masters are attentive and willing to give a few pointers as needed. I decided to take the Ladies Learn to Shoot class recently--taught by a female to offer the female perspective. Thanks, Rebecca!! Great class!! I went in with some knowledge and handgun experience and left feeling more confident in my abilities. I also loved trying out 6 different handguns. Each range instructor was encouraging and helpful, neither of which was a surprise. I highly recommend this class for any women with little to no experience around firearms. And, of course, HIGHLY recommend LoneStar Handgun to everyone!!

I took the All Girls Hand Gun Class. Rebecca did a phenomenal job teaching. Total hands on experience. I was not intimidated at all. Felt safe at all times. Had the opportunity to shoot 6 different hand guns at the range at the end of the class. I highly recommend this company!
